october.

october could quite possibly become my favorite month.

it brings (slightly) cooler weather, apple cider/salted caramel hot cocoa, pumpkin patches and haunted houses, football games and crunchy fallen leaves under your boots (we hope). 

there's an almost nostalgic feeling about october (and fall in general).  it brings back memories of college and my alma mater's gorgeous campus.  cheering at football games in crisp uniforms, running straight for the hot cocoa and comfort food immediately afterwards.  going costume shopping with my besties, trying to find the cutest, least expensive, sexiest costume possible.  homecoming weekend (which i'll be attending this year).

now that i'm finally moved back home, i hope my family and i can make some more great october memories.  we're planning on having a halloween party.  and we all want to go out to a pumpkin patch and a haunted house.  our fingers are crossed that the weather gets cooler sooner rather than later.
