 did you wear red yesterday?  i did.  and i'll be wearing my alpha phi red dress pin all month long. 

here's why:  a little over a year ago, my grandma had heart surgery.  she had badly clogged arteries and all sorts of other problems.  her mother, my great-grandmother, suffered from strokes.  she had one a few days before she died.

and did you know, heart disease is the number one killer of women?  and that one in three women will die from heart disease each year?  i have two sisters.  you do the math.

so, if my wearing red, and that red dress pin will inspire more people to take interest in research, then i'm all for it!  also, it's yet another reason for me to eat healthier and stay in shape!
