it's friday!!!

and it's the second day of december!

i love this month.  there are so many reasons to love this month.  the festive colors, holiday music, the smell of christmas trees, cozy fires, and hot cocoa, family gatherings, my mom's birthday.  it's hard to have a real reason to be unhappy or unpleasant this time of year.  it's the season of giving.  the season of loving.  and i have so much to give and many to love.  if i were religious, i suppose i'd say i'm "blessed".

i'm still working on the "waking up with a smile on my face" place i'd like to be.  my happy place, if you will.  i'm not good at dealing with the stress, and there is a lot on my shoulders right now.  i'd love to wish it away, but that's not the way the world works.

this is the season of happy, though!  so, i'm going to have to suck it up.  enjoy my mom's birthday this weekend, put up our christmas tree, and hope that next week (and the week after that and the week after that and so on) will fare better.
