last weekend we celebrated my mom's birthday by getting all dressed up and going to dinner at casa rio on the riverwalk. every holiday season downtown san antonio is lit up with bright holiday lights. it's so festive and beautiful, the perfect place for a birthday celebration. ernest and i are planning to go downtown again soon so we can take in more of the lights, especially the tree in front of the alamo.
